Cub Scouts have fun with a purpose! Cub Scout Pack 255 serves San Mateo Coastside boys in K and first through fifth grade in Montara, Moss Beach, Princeton, El Granada, and Half Moon Bay.  As a Cub, your child will make lifelong friends as he learns and practices Cub Scout values through age appropriate, individual and group activities.  Our Pack 255 family is very active with something for everyone to participate in.  We like to think of it as a smorgasbord where you take what works for you and leave what doesn't work.  Our committee creates a full calendar of events from September through May, and for those who want to keep going all year, we have a lighter schedule during the summer.

Come check us out!  All are welcome.  We meet as a Pack at the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club at Pillar Point Harbor.  Pack meetings are usually held the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, although there are some months where we move to the third or fourth Wednesday; check with us.  If you're interested in a smaller meeting, our Dens meet twice a month at different times. Contact us and we can connect you with the appropriate people.

Interested in learning more?  Please use the Contact Us button in the menu in the left hand column of this page to leave us a message.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Girls in Cub Scouts

Posted by mikem on Oct 13 2017 - 10:05am

You may have heard the recent news that the Boy Scouts of America has put forward a plan to include girls in the Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs.

We at Cub Scout Pack 255 are excited about these changes and are preparing our response. If you are a parent of a K through 5th girl (2018/2019 school year and beyond), contact us so we have a better idea of the interest and can also keep you up-to-date as this takes shape.

Donate your old uniforms, neckerchiefs, handbooks, etc.

Hey Parents --

We are trying to do our best to reduce the hassle and expense of outfitting our younger Scouts and new families for the upcoming year. If you have any used uniforms, hats, handbooks, scarfs, slides, etc. that you are not keeping for sentimental purposes, could you please bring it to the next Pack event you attend.
